You can download pkg-config here. MacPorts helps a lot to install command-line, X11 or Aqua based open-source software on the Mac OS X operating system. Apparently packages that use pkg-config create a.pc file in the highest-level directory that is created after untaring source code for library Y. Then, if library Z complains that it cannot find library Y, and it uses pkg-config, set the PKG_CONFIG_PATH variable to point to the.pc file.
What Is Pkg Config
If flickcurl.pc is in the directory /p/a/t/h, you need to add /p/a/t/h to PKG_CONFIG_PATH, which is a colon separated list of all the places that pkg-config will look for pc files. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `glib-2.0.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'glib-2.0' found Doing a quick search on the Mac using locate I can't see any glib-2.0 files so I'm wondering if I have to install it.
Install the App

- Press
Command+Spaceand type Terminal and press enter/return key. - Run in Terminal app:
ruby -e '$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)' < /dev/null 2> /dev/null
and press enter/return key.
If the screen prompts you to enter a password, please enter your Mac's user password to continue. When you type the password, it won't be displayed on screen, but the system would accept it. So just type your password and press ENTER/RETURN key. Then wait for the command to finish. - Run:
brew install pkg-config
Done! You can now use pkg-config.
